As I am a staunch advocate of great food and delicious wine, I highly recommended you to go to ”Het Warenhuis” in Amsterdam. This casual-dining restaurant has a relaxed, casual ambiance. No skirts, suits and shiny shoes needed behind the huge windows of Het Warenhuis.
On the menu you will find a collection of small bites and French international dishes. Visit this restaurant for a good cup of coffee or a classic cocktail. Chill on the large lounge sofa or work at the table. From brunch to drinks!
Me and mother went to Het Warenhuis to have dinner. We shared all of the food and started with a board full of the best delicious bites from their neighbours in the Haarlemmerstraat. We ate the tastiest cheeses, ham, olives and other snacks.
Next, we ordered three dishes which we shared. The mushroom risotto, fish & chips and marinated chicken skewers.
As you can see we also drank wine. Red and white. The food, the wine, the atmosphere.. all together it was heavenly! We really enjoyed our Friday night!
And if that just wasn’t enough, we ordered desserts. I don’t know why we did because believe me the board with all the bites and these three dishes were satisfying enough but just needed to taste the desserts.
We had apple crumble pie and a chocolate cake. This chocolate cake was made from the Tony Chocolonely chocolate. And they were still warm! So in combination with the cold ice cream that just was a spectaculair mouth feeling.
